Our introductory courses offer a full experience of Association Croquet and provide an in-depth introduction to the technique, laws and tactics of the game. Courses typically run for six evening sessions, each of an hour and a half.
Courses follow the model laid down by the sport’s governing body, the Croquet Association. Each session is led by two York Croquet Club members, one or both of whom will be a Club Coach trained by the Croquet Association.
As well as a comprehensive introduction to Association Croquet, participants are offered every opportunity for individual guidance, support and encouragement. If there is good reason why you may have to miss one of the six sessions, it may be possible to arrange an individual catch-up. Places cost £50 and numbers are limited to eight per course. Anyone joining the Club at the end of the course is entitled to half price Club membership for the rest of that season.
